Posting from far away again…this time, Rome. This picture made me think of NYC and the following dialog emerged.
Word Count: 99
“Hey – look at this old vid. Wanna see what’s on it?”
“Sure. Hit play and see if it works.”
“Kinda boring – just this old cityscape at night.”
“Hey wait – what’s that in the corner streaking in?”
“Dunno – a plane? Doesn’t look like it’s going to stop.”
“Oh my god – it just blasted into that building. Why?”
“Shit – look at the flames. Those people are doomed!”
“I guess we’ll never know how it turns out – it just faded to black.”
“It makes me happy we don’t live in those times any more. I’m glad we’ve figured out world peace.”
“Coffee?”
“Sure.”

It did have an eeire feel to it – I think that moment is an emotional one for most people. Glad to be home!
A really emotional piece.
I’m glad that came through. Thank you for reading.
Nicely done 🙂
Thanks!
Dear Erin,
Sorry about your linking problem. Hope you’re enjoying Rome.
Really good story. A view of 911 from the future. Easy dialogue.

Thanks for trying to help, Rochelle. I’m home again and will get the link posted today and catch up on my reading!
For one who lived through this kind of thing, you really captured it all too well. The shock, the confusion…unexpected how the story was told and the ending. May we all someday see that day when the world is at Peace!
The picture somehow brought that moment to mind and I couldn’t ignore it. I need to go read how others treated it. Will do that today!
Yes, yes, double YES!!! THAT is a story, Erin! Wonderful job!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Now that’s something to aim for. Great story, Erin.
Thanks, Anne.
